Magneton's Mustard "Sylvie" is an adventure in F. It was built with one goal in mind: Beeing unique in style and sound!
Leos Shortscale Mustang from the sixties has advantages and disadvantages. One thing is for sure: a shorter scale plays differently and, most importantly, has a different but distinct sound.
To bring out the unique voice, we were commissioned to build this Mustang variation specifically for a tuning in standard F - a semitone higher than a standard guitar (which compensates quite a bit for the shorter scale lenght). The result is an exceptionally sparkly, though full sounding guitar that sits quite differently in the mix with other instruments because "Sylvie" has a unique voice: bright and funky, punchy and biting with excellent sustain and playability. Pure inspiration for stage and studio.
