MAGNETON Telenovela Bass – Parchment/Black

Leo’s first bass – revived. Ultr light. Resonant. Direct. Full of character.
A tribute to the origins of the modern electric bass – reinterpreted and crafted with passionate dedication and uncompromising standards.

This bass from the MAGNETON Custom Shop is directly inspired by Leo Fender’s first Precision Bass from 1951. Its classic aesthetics pay homage to the original, while its construction, components, and craftsmanship are firmly rooted in modern technology: a graphite-reinforced, roasted maple neck, ultra-lightweight tuners, and a modern pickup that captures the entire frequency spectrum. A glimpse into the future without losing sight of the original character.

At a total weight of just 3.2 kg / 7.05 lbs, it is one of the exceptionally lightweight basses in its class. Still perfectly balanced and completely free of neck dive, it feels remarkably effortless on the strap – light, immediate, and exceptionally resonant.

The tonal philosophy is equally clear: maximum character with minimal means. The Seymour Duncan Quarter Pounder Single-Coil delivers a powerful, highly dynamic signal with a full frequency range. From a deep, sonorous foundation to articulate highs, it captures nuances and playing dynamics with remarkable directness. The actual tone shaping remains where it belongs: in your hands!
