Magneton Telenovela Deluxe – Ice Blue

Lightness in character, gravitas in sound and variety in expression best describe this wonderfully lightweight Tele. It was built by luthier Andy Hidber from a one-piece ash body and completed with an quartersawn maple neck with stainless steel frets. 
 
The original plan was to fit the guitar with a set of the legendary and recently reissued Fender Wide Range humbuckers - the ones with the famous CuNiFe magnets that had not been available for over 40 years. To be honest, these pickups were disappointing: they were outrageously expensive, but they didn't sound good at all, and certainly not like real WDs from the 70s - and yes, Andy had an original Tele Deluxe from the 70s in the house for comparison. So this guitar finally got the fantastic looking and equally great sounding Gold Foil Wide Ranges from Mojo Pickups UK, making it one of the lightest solidbodies and one of the most inspiring sounding instruments in our range.
