Magneton Telenovela – Frank Karlstetter
A wonderful Thinline Telenova for German guitarist Frank Karlstetter of the band Rabenbad. Custom-built from beautiful, resonant, and lightweight woods sourced from the forests around Bergün in the Swiss Alps, entirely according to Frank’s wishes and design specifications. That’s exactly where the strength of a custom shop lies, and that’s exactly what it’s there for: to turn your guitar-playing dreams into reality—and then take them to the next level ;-)
Sonically, thanks to its semi-hollow construction and the fantastic pickups from Lollar and TV Jones, this Tele is a beast when it comes to seductive clean tones and rocking crunch tones—exactly as the player wants it.
Frank’s first feedback: "It sounds simply wonderful through my amp. Played through the neck pickup, it has exactly that little bit of extra bass that I’ve often missed with my brighter guitars. It really packs a punch—it’s awesome. It also cut through well against the keyboard and bass. So the sound really blows me away, and I still have to get used to the tele shape. A Strat is definitely more ergonomic. I hadn’t really realized that. But I’m really happy. It’s just so beautiful, too."
