TELENOVELA 51⇆24
BUILT TO ORDER
Back to the Future, or Forward to the past? Magneton's telenovela 51–24 is a time traveler – in both ways! And on this journey she has been able to gain a lot of experiences that have brought her further in her nature and qualities. The 51–24 is the journey from 1951 to 2024 and back.
It is a classic Tele, with classic feel, classic sound (as you'd expect), but modern improvements for a twentieth century player. We build the 51–24 by hand – according to your wishes – exclusively for you, in the colors you like, with a neck that is made for your hands – so that you become the next time traveller.
STANDARD FEATURES
LINDY FRALIN PICKUPS
Lindy Fralin's handwound pickups are among the very best in the world. You can choose from 2 sets we've carefully selected for you.
RESONANT & LIGHTWEIGHT TONEWOODS
We only choose the best woods. The body of a 51–24 is always 2-piece Swamp Ash or Alder, and always around 1,7 to 1,9 kg.
BELLY CARVE
No matter what guitar, a belly carve makes the player experience a lot more comfortable – you're just closer to the strings, and you feel your instrument a lot more vibrating.
REVERSED CONTROL LAYOUT
We switched the controls, so you have better access to the volume pot and you dont' accidently switch pickups while strumming.
INTONATED BRIDGE
We use a classic Tele bridge – of course. But ours has perfectly intonated brass saddles and a cut at the pickups position – that makes picking a lot more fun!
8 COLORS
ALL NITRO LACQUER
We only use very thin vintage style nitro lacquer to let the woods breathe and resonate.
Choose from 8 colors.
1-PIECE QUARTERSAWN MAPLE NECK
You don't get the classic Tele sound without a maple neck. We choose only the best selected quartersawn pieces of maple for a maximum of sound and stability. Like Leo's original, it's got to be one-piece with a walnut skunk stripe on the back finished with a thin vintage tinted nitro lacquer.
STAINLESS STEEL FRETS
Since the material for the frets has no influence on the sound, we choose exclusively Stainless Steel Frets. They last forever. You can choose from 2 sizes, vintage or modern.
LOCKING TUNERS
Staggered locking tuners are a great enhancement for the geometry of the string pull on the headstock and – as the name suggests – they lock the strings, resulting in a much better tuning stabiliy. That's why hipshot locking tuners are standard on the std.

WOOD CHOICE
SWAMP ASH – bite and snap
Swamp Ash will provide a fast and snappy attack with a lot of twang. Perfect for funk, soul, country and all percussive playing styles, still with great tonal stability and sustain.
ALDER – warm and round
Alder is on the warmer, rounder side, less edgy and a bit fuller in sound – great sustain, too.
Best for pop, rock and metal.
8 COLORS
Your choice of 8 body colors, all in thin nitro, all applied by hand.
NECK SHAPES
When it comes to neck profiles, a standard doesn't make much sense. Everybody has different hands and different preferences. So you can choose from 4 neck profiles.
If you're not sure, stick with the 2 most common ones: Standard C (90% of Fender guitar necks have this profile) or 59 Burst (common in the Gibson world).
Big hands? Our thicker profiles are just right for you:
Fat Old Monster is very thick, this is almost a Baseball Bat and Boatneck is almost as thick, but more V-shaped.
